Just place an exchange order on our site. As soon as we receive your order, we will ship you a fresh, new super-capacity exchange battery. Along with the battery, we will include a pre-paid postage label for you to send your old battery with, whether in running condition or not, back to our facility. Gateway 400/450 Laptop series can take two different types of battery packs. They look identical. However, when you check the battery label carefully, one is a 6 cell 11.1V battery pack and the other is an 8 cell 14.8 battery pack. The only difference will be that the 8 cell 14.8V battery packs give you longer battery time compared to the 6 cell 11.1V packs. Accordingly, 8 cell 14.8V battery packs also cost more for exchanges or purchases. Make sure you are ordering the right battery pack for your exchange. If you send back 11.1V battery packs after receiving our 14.8V exchange battery packs, you will be charged an extra $40/each for the purchase price ($99-$59=$40).

If you would rather just purchase another battery with longer running cells, purchase one at our low price and you will be shipped a fresh, new super-capacity battery.

The battery capacity increases every few months and Gateway 450 Series battery packs have 1900mAh capacity Sanyo Li-Ion cells. The new cells we are using to replace your batteries with are 2200mAh LG Chemistry Cells. As a result of the refill service, a 3800mAh capacity Li-Ion battery pack increases to a 4400 mAh capacity.
